Maths tutoring
Maths is one subject and seven different courses. We teach the one your child actually sits.
IGCSE and O Level Mathematics, AS and A-Level Maths and Further Maths, IB Analysis and Approaches and Applications and Interpretation, AP Calculus, Canadian functions and calculus, and SABIS maths at every Level. Taught by university mentors who sat the same papers a few years ago.

What makes the difference
- 01
The gap is almost never this year's topic
A child who cannot do quadratics this term usually lost something two years ago: negative indices, fractions, rearranging a formula. A mentor finds that first, because teaching the new topic on top of the missing one is how a year of tutoring produces no change in the grade. The first lessons are diagnostic on purpose.
- 02
Method marks are the cheapest marks on the paper
Maths mark schemes pay for working, not only for answers. Students who do the algebra in their head and write one line lose marks they had already earned. Our mentors sat these papers recently and mark the way an examiner marks, so a student learns what a written solution has to look like before the exam, not after it.
- 03
Calculator and non-calculator are different skills
Every board splits its papers, and most students are much weaker on one side of that split than they realise. Timed practice on the weaker paper, marked against the official scheme, is usually where the first grade of improvement comes from.
Inside the subject
The four places maths marks are won and lost
Algebra and functions
Manipulation, quadratics, simultaneous equations, indices and surds, sequences, and the function notation that every later topic is written in. This is the layer that quietly decides the grade, because calculus and mechanics both assume it.
Geometry and trigonometry
Circle theorems, similar shapes, vectors, the sine and cosine rules, radians and trigonometric identities. Geometry questions are usually the ones a student leaves blank, and they are the most learnable part of the paper.
Calculus
Differentiation and integration from first principles through to the techniques A-Level, IB HL and AP Calculus each demand. The notation differs between the boards more than the mathematics does, which is why we teach a student's own syllabus rather than a general course.
Statistics and probability
Data handling, distributions, hypothesis testing and the statistics that IB Applications and Interpretation leans on heavily. Students who find pure maths hard often score well here, and it is frequently the fastest route to a better overall grade.
Whatever the board, a maths paper is built from these four. A mentor works out which of them is costing marks, then spends the time there rather than working front to back through a textbook.
Across the curricula
The same subject, seven different syllabuses
IGCSE and O Level Mathematics
Cambridge, Edexcel and Oxford AQA, Core and Extended, including the tier of entry decision. Entering a capable student for Core caps them at a grade 5, and that call is best made on past-paper evidence.
A-LevelAS and A-Level Maths and Further Maths
Pure, Mechanics and Statistics, plus the Further Mathematics modules a sixth form actually offers. Further Maths is a separate qualification and it is taught as one.
IBIB Maths AA and AI, HL and SL
Analysis and Approaches or Applications and Interpretation, at Higher or Standard Level, with the Internal Assessment planned backwards from its deadline rather than written in the last fortnight.
AmericanAlgebra, Geometry and Pre-Calculus
Common Core and honours maths across the school year, so the GPA moves steadily instead of being rescued in the weeks before finals.
APAP Calculus
The college-level course taught alongside the school class, so the coursework grade and the May exam advance together rather than competing for the same evenings.
CanadianFunctions, advanced functions, calculus and vectors
Grade 9 to Grade 12 maths, built course by course and matched to the province your school follows rather than to a generic year group.
SABISSABIS Mathematics, every Level
Maths on the rhythm of a SABIS year: the weekly AMS test first, the periodic exams next, with mentors who grew up inside the system.

Tell us the course
The syllabus name is enough: IGCSE Extended, A-Level Pure and Statistics, IB AA HL, AP Calculus, Grade 11 Functions or a SABIS Level. Two minutes on WhatsApp or the contact form.

02
Meet your mentor
We find the mentor who sat that exact course and scored highly in it, then set up a first lesson, online or at your home in Dubai or Abu Dhabi.

03
Watch the working improve
Lessons are scheduled around school and mock weeks, a progress note reaches the parent after every session, and if the mentor is not the right fit we rematch at no cost.
FAQ
Maths tutoring in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, answered
- 01
How much does a maths tutor cost in Dubai or Abu Dhabi?
Level, not subject, sets the rate. Primary is AED 140 an hour on the Commitment plan and AED 160 Flexible, middle school AED 160 or AED 180, high school AED 180 or AED 200. VAT at 5% is already inside those figures, and teaching at your home adds AED 30 a lesson. The whole table, premium rates included, is on our pricing page.
- 02
Which maths courses do you cover?
IGCSE and O Level Mathematics, AS and A-Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics, IB Analysis and Approaches and Applications and Interpretation at HL and SL, Common Core and honours algebra, geometry and pre-calculus, AP Calculus, Canadian functions, advanced functions, calculus and vectors, and SABIS Mathematics at every Level. Every one of those is named on our services page.
- 03
My child is choosing between IB Maths AA and AI. Can you help decide?
Yes, and it is worth doing properly. Analysis and Approaches is the more algebraic and calculus-heavy course, Applications and Interpretation leans on modelling and statistics, and some university courses ask for one specifically. The honest way to choose is to try a problem set from each under timed conditions and look at the marks, which is something a mentor can set up in the first lessons.
- 04
Should my child take Further Maths?
Only if the A-Level Maths grade is already secure, because Further Maths is a separate qualification with its own papers, not extra practice for the first one. Some engineering and mathematics degrees ask for it. A mentor who took it recently can tell you what the workload actually looks like alongside two other A-Levels.
- 05
Are lessons online or in person?
Both. In-person lessons run across Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and online lessons reach anywhere in the UAE. Maths works well on screen because the whole lesson is written down on a shared board, and many families keep one lesson at home each week and add online sessions before mocks.
- 06
Who are the mentors?
Top university students and recent graduates, from AUS, AUD, CUD and NYUAD among others, who sat these maths papers themselves a few years ago and scored highly in them. Read more about how we select mentors.
