EmSAT preparation · UAE

EmSAT preparation for the score your programme asks for

EmSAT Achieve is a computer-based, adaptive test scored from 600 to 1500, and every university programme sets its own threshold. We start by finding out where your child sits today, then work towards the number their course actually requires. Online across the Emirates, or in person in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Why it works

A score with a purpose, not a general revision plan.

The threshold comes first

An EmSAT score only means anything against a specific programme's requirement. Many courses look for around 900 in English and Mathematics, while engineering and medical programmes ask for considerably more. We ask which university and which course before planning anything — and because thresholds change, we work from the current published requirement rather than last year's.

Adaptive means accuracy early

EmSAT adjusts difficulty as the student answers, so a careless mistake in the opening questions costs more than the same mistake later on. We drill accuracy under time, on screen, in the format the test actually uses.

Subject by subject, not all at once

Most students need two or three EmSAT subjects, not all seven. We sequence them around the registration dates and put the subject with the furthest to travel first, so nobody ends up revising Biology in the week they sit English.

Subjects

The EmSAT Achieve subjects we prepare

English, Mathematics, Arabic, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer Science. Most students sit English and Mathematics, plus whichever sciences their programme requires.

English

Reading, grammar and vocabulary in the adaptive format, with timing practice built in from the first session.

Mathematics

Algebra, functions, geometry, trigonometry and data handling, worked at the pace the test demands rather than the pace of a school lesson.

Arabic

The Arabic Achieve paper: reading comprehension, grammar and written expression, taught by native-speaking mentors.

Sciences

Physics, Chemistry and Biology, for the engineering, health-science and medical programme requirements that need them.

Across the Emirates

Wherever you are in the UAE

EmSAT is taken on a computer, so preparing on one is the correct rehearsal, not a compromise.

Online, nationwide

EmSAT students come to us from Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Al Ain and Ras Al Khaimah, and almost all of this preparation happens online. Sessions are screen-based and timed, which is exactly how the test itself is sat.

In person in Dubai and Abu Dhabi

If you would rather have a mentor in the room, we teach in person across both cities at the usual in-person rate. Many families run in-person sessions for the subject with the biggest gap and keep the rest online.

How it works

Threshold, diagnostic, then the gap

Tell us the programme

Which university, which course, and which EmSAT subjects it requires. That is what sets the target scores, and everything else follows from it.

Sit a diagnostic

A timed practice in each subject, so the distance between where your child is and where they need to be is a number rather than a feeling.

Work to the number

Sessions target the weakest strands first, with timed practice throughout and a progress note after every lesson.

FAQ

EmSAT preparation, answered

How much does EmSAT preparation cost?

EmSAT preparation is charged at the high-school rate: AED 180 per hour at the Commitment rate, or AED 200 Flexible. Every price includes 5% VAT. Lessons are online by default; in person in Dubai or Abu Dhabi adds AED 30 each. Full details are on our pricing page.

Is EmSAT still required for university in the UAE?

It depends on the university. EmSAT stopped being a blanket requirement for every Grade 12 student in late 2024, but many UAE universities and programmes still accept it or ask for it, and some use it for placement once a student is enrolled. Check the current admission page for your specific programme before registering.

What score do I need?

It varies by programme, which is why we ask before planning. Many courses look for around 900 in English and Mathematics for general admission, while competitive engineering and medical programmes set the bar considerably higher across several subjects. Thresholds are revised, so always work from the university's current published requirement.

Which EmSAT subjects do you cover?

English, Mathematics, Arabic, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer Science. Most students take English and Mathematics plus the sciences their programme requires, and we sequence them around the registration dates.

How long does preparation usually take?

In our experience most students want six to ten weeks per subject at one or two sessions a week, though it depends entirely on the gap between the diagnostic and the target. After the diagnostic we will tell you honestly whether the target is reachable in the time you have.

Who are the tutors?

Top university students and recent graduates from universities including AUS, AUD, AUB, CUD and NYUAD, many of whom sat EmSAT themselves on the way in. Read more about how we select mentors.
