What makes the difference

A seat in Dubai is the first thing to secure
Everything else on this page depends on a date you actually hold. Dubai centres are heavily oversubscribed and the best-known ones go first, so register through the College Board six to ten weeks ahead and build the plan backwards from that sitting. Students who leave it late end up driving to Sharjah, taking a seat in Abu Dhabi, or waiting for the next date altogether.

Mocks in Bluebook, not on paper
Students sit complete practice tests inside Bluebook itself, on a screen, with the built-in Desmos calculator, the annotation tool and answer elimination switched on. The test is adaptive: each section runs two modules and the first decides which second module the app serves, which is where the top of the score range is won or lost. A score produced on paper in a quiet room rehearses none of that.

The review is the lesson
After every mock we build an error log: which question type, which mistake, careless or conceptual. The next sessions go at that list rather than back over the syllabus. And because nothing is deducted for a wrong answer, we teach the harder skill too, which is knowing when to stop, guess and give the time to a question worth more.

Reading and Writing is 54 questions in 64 minutes. Math is 44 questions in 70 minutes, with the calculator available throughout. We cover both, plus the test-day decisions that quietly cost points.

How the Dubai sittings actually go
Eight sittings a year reach the UAE, and the March and November dates are the ones Dubai families want most, which is exactly why those seats disappear first. Register, screenshot the confirmation, then start the plan. If your school is running its own mock weeks in the same month, send us that calendar as well and we will work around both.

Where our Dubai SAT students go to school
The American School of Dubai in Al Barsha, which has been here since 1966 and runs the US pathway on purpose: an American high school diploma and around 25 Advanced Placement courses in Grades 10 to 12, with no IB Diploma offered at all. And GEMS Dubai American Academy, also in Al Barsha, where the high school runs Grades 9 to 12 and a student can take the US diploma with AP or the IB Diploma alongside it. Which of those two shapes your child is in changes what the SAT is competing with for their evenings, so we ask. Mentors travel to homes in Jumeirah, Umm Suqeim, Al Barsha, Emirates Hills, Downtown, Business Bay, Dubai Marina, Jumeirah Village Circle, Arabian Ranches, Dubai Hills, Motor City and Mirdif, and teach online everywhere else in the UAE.
Register first, revise second. Doing it the other way round is the single most common planning mistake we see.

Sit a diagnostic
One full timed test before anything is planned. It sets the baseline and shows which question types are costing the points, which is not always the section a student thinks they are weak in.

SAT preparation in Dubai, answered

How much does SAT tutoring cost in Dubai?
SAT work is charged at the high school rate: AED 180 an hour on the Commitment rate, or AED 200 on Flexible. VAT at 5% is already included, and a lesson at your home adds AED 40. The full breakdown is on one page.

Is the SAT still a paper test?
No. It is taken on a laptop or tablet in the College Board's Bluebook app and runs two hours and fourteen minutes. Two sections, Reading and Writing and then Math, each scored 200 to 800, so 400 to 1600 in total. The difficulty moves between modules, Desmos is built in, and nothing is deducted for a wrong answer. Any tutor still handing out paper booklets is preparing your child for a test that no longer exists.

When should my child start SAT prep?
Most Dubai families we work with begin three to four months out, at one or two sessions a week, and they book the seat first so the plan has a fixed end date. Later than that is still worth doing. It changes the job from building skills to protecting the score already there and clearing out the habits costing the most marks.

Do you guarantee a score increase?
No, and be careful with anyone who does. What you get instead is a baseline from a real timed mock, mocks at intervals so the trend is visible, and a straight answer about whether the target is reachable in the weeks left before the date you booked.

Are lessons online or in person?
Either. Mentors come to homes across Dubai for AED 40 more per lesson, and online reaches the rest of the UAE. Online is not the lesser option for this subject: the test is taken on a screen, so a session on a screen is the closer rehearsal, and in the last weeks before a sitting most families move to it anyway.
