Durusi connects families with independent academic mentors for private tutoring in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, online and in person. Lessons are booked in advance; Flexible carries no minimum. Durusi facilitates the connection and is not a party to the teaching itself.
Accounts and the app
You must be 18 or older to create a parent or mentor account. Children use Durusi only through an account created and managed by their parent or guardian. Keep your login details, and your child's username and PIN, private; you are responsible for activity under your account. In the app, parents request lessons, mentors accept and propose times, and parents confirm.
Mentors
Mentors apply with accurate information, documents and video answers. Durusi reviews every application and may approve, decline, or later withdraw approval. Only approved mentors can be booked. False information leads to removal.
Plans & payment
Lessons are billed at a Commitment or Flexible rate, priced by your child's school level. Commitment means booking six or more hours in one order for the lower rate, paid upfront and valid for 30 days from purchase, with no rollover after that. Flexible has no minimum. All prices include 5% VAT, and a receipt is provided for every payment. In the app, card payments are processed by Stripe; Durusi never stores your full card number.
Scheduling & cancellations
Lessons are scheduled directly with your mentor. Cancel two or more hours before a lesson and it's free: the hour stays in your balance to rebook before it expires. A late cancellation or no-show is forgiven once per order; a repeat is charged in full. Unused hours expire 30 days after purchase and do not roll over.
Refunds
If you decide to stop, you can request a refund of what you paid, minus the hours already used charged at the Flexible rate. If we ever can't deliver a lesson and offer no replacement, those hours are refunded in full at the rate you paid. Our full cancellation policy is shown before you pay.
Conduct & safety
All mentors are vetted before teaching. A parent or guardian should be present at home during in-person lessons with minors. Concerns of any kind are taken seriously: contact us immediately on +971 50 575 7707.
Liability
While we work hard for academic improvement and most students see results quickly, grades depend on many factors and cannot be guaranteed. Durusi's liability is limited to the amounts paid for undelivered lessons.
