What makes the difference
- 01
One mentor, four skills
One mentor teaches all four skills, so the same person tracks your listening accuracy, your reading pace, the structure of your essays and how you handle the speaking interview. Mentors are top students and recent graduates from universities including AUS, AUD, AUB, CUD and NYUAD, who sat IELTS themselves and scored highly. A mentor is usually matched within 48 hours, matched by hand to your target band and your timeline.
- 02
Practice under real timing
Reading and listening are marked against the clock, writing is drafted under the same time pressure as the exam, and speaking is rehearsed as a real interview, not a script read aloud. We work from your target band and your test date, so the weeks before the exam are spent on timed, full-length practice rather than isolated tips.
- 03
A note after every lesson
You get a short progress note after every lesson, so you know what was covered and what your child needs to work on before the next one. That might be a listening subskill, an essay structure or a habit in the speaking answers. If the fit is not right, we rematch the family free, no questions asked.
The four skills
Training built around all four skills
Listening, reading, writing and speaking, for both the Academic and General Training formats. We start with a diagnostic band estimate, then train towards the score your university actually asks for.
Listening
Multiple accents, note-taking under time, and the traps in paraphrased questions. We drill the sections most students lose marks on and build the habit of listening for the answer, not the whole recording.
Reading
Skimming for structure, scanning for detail, and the question types that cost the most time: matching headings, True/False/Not Given and summary completion. We teach the order to tackle a passage in, not just the vocabulary.
Writing
Task 1 report structure for Academic, or the letter format for General Training, plus Task 2 essays built around a clear position and paragraph plan. Every script is marked against the band descriptors and handed back with specific fixes.
Speaking
A three-part interview rehearsed with a real mentor: introduction and interview, a two-minute individual long turn, then a two-way discussion. We work on fluency, range and pronunciation under exam conditions, not memorised answers.
Where we teach
Two cities, one team of mentors
Lessons run in person across both cities, and online anywhere in the UAE when that suits the schedule better.

FAQ
IELTS preparation in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, answered
- 01
How much does IELTS preparation cost?
IELTS preparation is charged at the high-school rate: AED 180 an hour Commitment, or AED 200 Flexible, both including 5% VAT. A block of 6 hours Commitment is AED 1,080. Lessons are online by default; in person in Dubai or Abu Dhabi adds AED 30 each. Full details are on our pricing page.
- 02
What is the difference between Academic and General Training?
Academic IELTS is for university admission and includes a Task 1 report based on a chart, graph or diagram. General Training is for immigration, work or study below degree level, and its Task 1 is a letter. The listening and speaking papers are the same in both. We prepare students mainly for the Academic version, which most universities ask for.
- 03
How is IELTS scored?
IELTS is scored on a band scale from 1 to 9, in whole and half bands, for each of the four skills and an overall band. Universities usually ask for a minimum overall band plus a minimum in each individual skill, so a strong overall score is not enough on its own if one skill is weak.
- 04
When should we start preparing?
There is no fixed rule, but starting well before the test date gives time to work on all four skills and sit at least one full timed mock under real conditions. Starting later still helps: it becomes about protecting the band you already have and fixing the costliest habits first.
- 05
Are lessons online or in person?
Both. We teach online anywhere in the UAE and in person across Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Every rate is the online rate; an in-person lesson adds AED 30. Because parts of the exam, like the speaking interview, work well face to face, some families choose in person for that skill and online for the rest.
- 06
Who are the mentors?
Top students and recent graduates from universities including AUS, AUD, AUB, CUD and NYUAD, who sat IELTS themselves and scored highly. A mentor is usually matched within 48 hours, matched by hand to your target band, and if the fit is not right we rematch the family free.
