What makes the difference

The core carries real points
Theory of Knowledge and the Extended Essay are worth up to three points on the 45-point scale, and they are the part students most often leave until it is too late. We plan IA drafts and EE milestones backwards from your school's deadlines, so redrafting never collides with exam season.

HL and SL are different subjects
A Maths AA HL student and a Maths AI SL student need different mentors, not the same mentor working at different speeds. We match on the exact course and level, and we tell you plainly when we do not have the right person for it.

Your work stays yours
We coach IA and Extended Essay work: structure, method, the assessment criteria, and feedback on your child's own drafts. We do not write them. Academic honesty is not negotiable: a breach costs a student the whole diploma, not one grade.

Both courses, both levels. Which one a school offers is not a given in the capital, so we ask what is actually on the timetable before matching, and the exploration is worked on across the year, not at the deadline.
Group 4 Sciences
The May 2025 syllabus, so the papers your child sits are not the ones an older tutor revised from. Physics, Chemistry and Biology across Papers 1 and 2 and the scientific investigation, and Computer Science with its computational solution.
Business & Economics
Group 3 essays and case studies, and the commentaries where the Internal Assessment marks are actually won rather than the exam paper.
The core
The TOK essay and the exhibition, the Extended Essay from research question to final draft, and CAS planning that does not turn into a scramble in the last term. Three points sit here and students routinely leave them on the table.

Where we teach in person
Mentors travel to homes on Saadiyat Island, Al Reem Island, Yas Island, Al Raha, Khalifa City, Al Bateen, Al Mushrif, Al Nahyan, Mussafah and Mohammed Bin Zayed City. An hour lost on the bridge at five o'clock is an hour of the lesson you paid for, so geography is part of the match, not an afterthought.

The schools our students come from
Cranleigh Abu Dhabi and ACS Abu Dhabi on Saadiyat, Raha International School and GEMS American Academy in Khalifa City, and Bateen World Academy. Each runs the Diploma slightly differently (different IA deadlines, different subject blocks, different mock weeks), and the plan is built around your school's calendar.

IB tutoring in Abu Dhabi, answered

How much does an IB tutor cost in Abu Dhabi?
The rate follows the school year, not the campus. Diploma work is AED 180 an hour on Commitment and AED 200 on Flexible. Middle Years students in Grades 6 to 8 are AED 160 and AED 180, and MYP 4 and 5 move up to the Diploma rate. All figures carry 5% VAT already, plus AED 40 for a lesson at home. See the pricing page.

Do you tutor the Diploma Programme and the MYP?
Both. For the DP we match on the exact course and level, including the Internal Assessment. For the MYP we work to the criterion-based assessment your school uses, and on the subject choices that will shape the Diploma two years later.

Can you help with the Internal Assessment and Extended Essay?
Yes, and only in the way the IB allows. The mentor works on the research question, the method, the shape of the argument and the criteria the examiner marks against, then reads what your child has written and says where it loses marks. Nobody here drafts a word of it. The work has to be theirs or it is worth nothing to them.

Do you teach in person on Saadiyat, Al Reem and Yas Island?
Yes. Mentors travel across Saadiyat, Al Reem, Yas Island, Al Raha, Khalifa City, Al Bateen, Al Mushrif, Mussafah and Mohammed Bin Zayed City, and we teach online anywhere in the UAE. In-person lessons add AED 40 each.

Recent graduates and university students, including from NYU Abu Dhabi, who came through the Diploma not long ago and did well in the courses they now teach. Matched on the course, the level, and which crossing sits between them and your home.

How quickly can my child start?
Usually within days. Tell us the subjects and levels and we will match a mentor and schedule the first lesson, typically the same week. If an IA deadline is close, say so and we will prioritise it.
