IGCSE tutoring · Abu Dhabi

IGCSE tutors in Abu Dhabi, matched to your board

Cambridge, Edexcel and Oxford AQA, taught by university mentors who sat these papers a few years ago. In person on Saadiyat, Al Reem, Yas Island, Khalifa City and across the capital, or online anywhere in the UAE.

Why it works

Two years of work, judged in a fortnight of papers.

The board decides the answer

Cambridge, Edexcel and Oxford AQA set the same subjects and mark them differently. Your child practises on their own board's past papers, against its published mark schemes, because a good answer written for the wrong board still drops marks.

Recent memory beats long experience

Our mentors sat these exams a few years ago, not decades ago. They remember precisely where the marks go: the keyword a science mark scheme insists on, the working that earns method marks, the structure an English examiner is scanning for.

You see it as it happens

A progress note after every lesson: what was covered, what improved, what comes next. Year 10 and Year 11 are where a small gap turns into a grade, and the point of the note is that you find out in October rather than in April.

Subjects

Every IGCSE subject on the Abu Dhabi timetable

Mathematics Core and Extended, the three sciences separate or coordinated, English Language and Literature, Business Studies, Economics, Computer Science, Arabic, French and more — 150+ mentors across 60+ subjects.

Maths

Core and Extended, including the tier-of-entry decision, made on evidence from past papers rather than on hope.

Sciences

Physics, Chemistry and Biology, separate or coordinated, including the practical and alternative-to-practical papers.

English

First Language and Literature, plus English as a Second Language where the school enters for it.

Business & Econ

The definitions examiners reward, case-study technique, and the evaluation marks that separate a 7 from a 9.

Across the capital

A city that is spread out. Plan the lesson around that.

Abu Dhabi's schools and its residential islands are not next to each other. Geography is part of the match.

Where we teach in person

Mentors travel to homes on Saadiyat Island, Al Reem Island, Yas Island, Al Raha, Khalifa City, Al Bateen, Al Mushrif, Al Nahyan, Mussafah and Mohammed Bin Zayed City. We match on where you live as well as what your child studies, because an hour lost in traffic is an hour of the lesson.

The schools our students come from

Brighton College Abu Dhabi in Bloom Gardens, The British School Al Khubairat in Al Mushrif, Cranleigh Abu Dhabi on Saadiyat, Repton Abu Dhabi and Nord Anglia International School on Al Reem, Yasmina British Academy in Khalifa City and Noya British School on Yas Island. Each sets its mocks at a different point in the year, and the revision plan follows your school's calendar.

How it works

From first message to first lesson in days

Tell us the subject

Share the subject, the exam board and the year group on WhatsApp or through the contact form. It takes two minutes.

Meet your mentor

We match a mentor who recently aced that exact syllabus and lives within reach, then arrange a first lesson, online or at your home.

Watch the grade move

Lessons are scheduled around school and mock weeks, with a progress note after every session. If the fit isn't right, we rematch free.

FAQ

IGCSE tutoring in Abu Dhabi, answered

How much does an IGCSE tutor cost in Abu Dhabi?

IGCSE lessons are high-school level: AED 180 per hour at the Commitment rate, or AED 200 Flexible. Every price includes 5% VAT, and in-person lessons add AED 30 each. Full details are on our pricing page.

Which exam boards do you cover?

Cambridge (CAIE), Pearson Edexcel and Oxford AQA. Abu Dhabi's British schools are split across all three, so the first thing we confirm is which board your child's school enters for, and every past paper after that comes from it.

Do you teach in person on Saadiyat, Al Reem and Yas Island?

Yes. Mentors travel across Saadiyat, Al Reem, Yas Island, Al Raha, Khalifa City, Al Bateen, Al Mushrif, Al Nahyan, Mussafah and Mohammed Bin Zayed City, and we teach online anywhere in the UAE. In-person lessons add AED 30 each.

Can you help before the mocks rather than the finals?

That is often the better moment. Most Abu Dhabi schools set predicted grades from the mocks, and a predicted grade follows a student into sixth-form places and early university conversations. Starting in the autumn term gives us the room to move it.

Who are the tutors?

Top university students and recent graduates from universities including AUS, AUD, AUB, CUD and NYUAD, who sat IGCSE themselves a few years ago and scored highly in the subjects they teach. Read more about how we select mentors.

How quickly can my child start?

Usually within days. Tell us the subject, board and where you are in the city, and we will match a mentor and schedule the first lesson, typically the same week.
